Self-praise is easy, but widespread. Forklift manufacturer Still has found a good method to find out how satisfied customers really are with their purchased vehicles: It's the "willingness to recommend" in the "Net Promoter Score" (NPS).

Confined spaces pose a particular challenge when loading and unloading trucks, as well as in adjacent areas of goods distribution. Operators must have complete control of their equipment amidst tightly packed pallets. This is easily managed with the T16 P and T20 P at the loading dock.

Toyota calls its safety system for camera-based reversing SEnS+, which reduces collision risks by continuously providing additional information and controlling the forklift's speed. The system distinguishes people from objects based on their silhouettes. 

The intralogistics group (Linde MH, Still, OM, Baoli, Dematic) has completely ceased its business activities in Russia. The forklift truck business was discontinued as part of a management buyout, and the supply chain segment was wound down. Revenue will not be affected.

Forklift manufacturer Yale has appointed Ron Farr as Director of Warehouse Sales EMEA. The newly created position is intended to underscore the importance of building expertise and providing technical solutions for the rapidly changing warehouse technology segment.

Linde MH has added an intelligent reversing camera to its already extensive range of safety systems. Developed using AI, it has "learned" to distinguish between people and objects when obstacles appear in the area behind the forklift.

Until now, the Baoli KBE series forklifts drew their power exclusively from 80-volt lead-acid batteries with a capacity of 360 to 450 Ah for the 2.5-tonne models and 500 to 600 Ah for the 3.0- and 3.5-tonne models. They are now also optionally available with lithium-ion batteries.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to trick the sensor that activates the safety system when the driver engages reverse: In Hyster vehicles, it's located next to the reverse lever and detects whether a hand is on the handle. If not, the reverse speed is limited to 2 km/h.

Jungheinrich has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative as a "Sustainability Enabler" in intralogistics. Currently, over 700 suppliers are regularly surveyed regarding their adherence to human rights, environmental protection, and compliance. The goal is for 80% of these suppliers to be classified as sustainable by 2025. 

A characteristic feature is the steel skirt that extends far around the driver's cab on several versions; another special feature is the operator's standing position rotated by 45°. With ten technically improved models, Linde MH customers can now make their loading and unloading processes even more productive.

Arbor, a forklift specialist, recently contributed a Hercules telescopic handler from Dieci to the construction work for the modernization of the Ritom hydroelectric power plant in the canton of Ticino. Heavy equipment was needed to load the 265 individual pipe sections for the new underground penstock.

At the recent finals of the world's most innovative forklift manufacturers, Still's PXV was neck and neck with the competition. In the test camp, the competitor ultimately prevailed. However, in a project at Liebherr, the PXV excelled in every aspect, achieving reach heights of up to 14.5 meters at extreme heights.
