Mobile loading and unloading systems
Anyone who has ever loaded and unloaded one or more containers at a parcel service's distribution center knows the problem: heavy boxes, awkward positions, exhausted employees. Schmalz's "Destuff-it" and "Restuff-it" conveyor systems provide a solution and pay for themselves faster than you might think.
Car wash with accelerator
Conveyor technology provider Frei is celebrating the modernization and expansion of the container conveyor system at the Migros Cooperative in Lucerne – with a focus on performance, automation, and future-proofing. The new conveyor lines can handle up to 2,400 containers per hour.
Interroll takes over start-up

Smart dropping at work
It sounds like relaxation therapy, but it actually has ergonomic advantages. " SmartDrop " pockets, specially developed for the SSI Carrier pocket sorter, enable automatic unloading of goods above the workstations along the overhead conveyor system, reducing manual intervention to a minimum.
Optionally with lifting unit
A new mobile platform called the KMP 250P from Kuka's AMR portfolio can transport goods and components weighing up to 250 kg and can be optionally equipped with a lifting unit. Cleanroom and ESD versions enable use in specialized applications.
Underground and above ground
Sounds a bit like Miniatur Wunderwelt, the "world's largest model railway" in Hamburg's Speicherstadt warehouse district. "Everything will be flexible, dynamic, and adaptable," promises Lars Bergmann with his "Fluid Factory," which uses underground magnetic technology.
