Optional with lifting unit
August 28, 2025
A new mobile platform called the KMP 250P from KUKA's AMR portfolio can transport goods and components weighing up to 250 kg and can be optionally equipped with a lifting unit. Cleanroom and ESD versions enable its use in specialized applications.
Accessories and chargers for the KMP 250P are compatible with the KMP 600P and KMP 1500P platforms. The various platforms can be easily integrated into a fleet. The KMP 250P is compatible within an AMR fleet and can be intuitively controlled via the AMR Fleet fleet manager and the standard VDA 5050 communication interface. An enhanced sleep mode allows even large fleets to be put into standby mode with ease.
AMR as an underride tractor
Thanks to its differential drive, the mobile platform is also highly flexible in terms of location. In addition to a conductive charging station, an inductive version is also available as an option – ensuring uninterrupted operation of the KMP 250P.

Safety first: Two diagonally mounted laser scanners, in combination with 3D cameras, provide 360-degree protection. If an obstacle is detected in the path of travel, it can be automatically and safely avoided if there is sufficient space, or the KMP 250P can stop fully automatically.
«“This high standard is very important to us. It ensures both the smooth collaboration between humans and robotics as well as the safe transport of goods,” says Clemens Lauble, Product Manager at Kuka.

A new tugging option will be available from 2026. As an under-slung tugger, it can transport loads of up to 500 kg. In this variant, named KMP 250P-T, the AMR docks to transport trolleys from below, which are then pulled.
