News from the management team
Toyota Material Handling, a provider of forklift trucks and intralogistics solutions, is hosting a panel discussion with leading European executives on the second day of LogiMAT at the Stuttgart trade fair. Participants include Jan Lorenz, CEO of Toyota Germany; Hiroshi Kuriyama, head of Toyota Europe; Ralph Cox; and Avinash Balachandran, head of development.

Against the impressive backdrop of the Grand Council
The biennial event of the " Leaders in Supply Chain " (LSC), formerly known as the " Logistics Leaders Club " of Switzerland, was a resounding success with 110 participants at the seat of the cantonal parliament in Aarau. The guest speaker was Rolf André Siegenthaler, head of the army's logistics base.

A flood of world and technology premieres
Even before LogiMAT 2026, the trade fair organizers have announced the presentation of more than 100 world and European premieres. Exhibitors from all product segments will present a high level of innovative product developments and an insightful overview of current development trends.

AI at the Winter Games
While the Winter Olympics are generating enthusiasm in Northern Italy, a fascinating development is simultaneously coming into focus for conveyor technology specialists: the increasing penetration of artificial intelligence and autonomous technology into winter sports.

Kardex with TIC during order picking
The " latest trend " for error-free order picking: No acoustic menu call, but a new control system called " Total Intelligence Concept " (TIC) is being promoted by Kardex and its four business units Remstar, Mlog, AS Solutions and " Rocketsolution " at LogiMAT (March 24-26).

Eyes and ears of intralogistics
In security applications, automated identification, and autonomous processes, sensors, image capture, and the (real-time) processing of the captured data are crucial technologies. Numerous exhibitors at LogiMAT 2026 will showcase a wide range of cutting-edge solutions.

«007» in the sights of warehouse technology
Thilo Jörgl, manager of the Test Camp Intralogistics, explains in an interview what distinguishes the event on April 15 and 16 in the Westfalenhalle from trade fairs, what highlights are offered and why the 33rd German Material Flow Congress was moved from Bavaria to the Ruhr area.

"Eyecatcher" and robot rebels
Autonomous intralogistics with driverless systems, shuttles, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) is developing rapidly, culminating in humanoid systems. The next stages of development are expected to be showcased as eye-catching displays at LogiMAT 2026.

LogiMAT: The AI wave is rolling
After the trade fair comes the next trade fair: Following Logistics & Automation in Bern, LogiMAT in Stuttgart, with its now immense scale, is on the agenda again from March 24th to 26th. Exhibitors in all segments will present innovations with integrated AI applications and methods.

Getting stuck in and taking action in logistics
This year's Logistics & Automation trade fair in Bern attracted particular attention to the LogisticsTalks organized by GS1. The topics ranged from the latest edition of the logistics market study to guided tours on 2D codes and training issues with Serge Frech, CEO of Swiss Logistics by ASFL SVBL.

Trade fair at a progressive level
" Logistics & Automation " and " Empack " grow by around 10% the sheer number of participants is naturally limited regionally, Easyfairs scores points with its professionalism.

17 nominees in the IFOY final
Thirteen products and solutions from eight nations have reached the finals of the IFOY intralogistics competition in 2026. Four companies will present themselves as "Start-up of the Year" at the Intralogistics Test Camp in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle, where they will face the judgment of the international jury and an audit by experts.

Robust trade fair activities
Nuremberg Trade Fair, one of the world's 15 largest platforms and a well-known name in logistics, particularly through Fachpack (which isn't scheduled to take place again until 2027), achieved a surprising profit of €350 million in 2025. A good sign of a turnaround in times of crisis?

«Logistics Talks» among experts
A valuable addition to the «Logistics & Automation», which will take place again in Bern on January 28th and 29th, are the «Logistics Talks», which traditionally start on the first day of the trade fair with the winner of the Swiss Logistics Award (in 2025 Shiptec AG), and continue with numerous technical presentations.

Economic development funding for intralogistics test camp
" Test Camp Intralogistics " at the Westfalenhalle provides the setting for the IFOY Award and the Material Flow Congress 2026. This includes forklift tests, exoskeletons, warehouse technology, logistics robots, and systems under scrutiny. And now, a "Go-To-Market Program" from the economic development agency is also being offered.

New approaches at Toyota
A new Traigo80 electric counterbalance forklift with a lifting capacity of up to 5 t, a new Tracto series (electric driver's seat tractor) with a towing capacity of up to 10 t, and further developed Optio low-level order pickers will be the focus at Toyota Material Handling at LogiMAT (March 24-26).
