Confined spaces pose a particular challenge when loading and unloading trucks, as well as in adjacent areas of goods distribution. Operators must have complete control of their equipment amidst tightly packed pallets. This is easily managed with the T16 P and T20 P at the loading dock.
The two new, compact low-lift pallet trucks with foldable operator platforms and load capacities of 1.6 and 2.0 t are 720 mm wide. Or rather: narrow. With travel speeds of up to 8.5 km/h, gradeability of up to 20%, and new comfort and safety features, the new Linde MH models are designed for fast goods transport over short and medium distances as well as efficient loading and unloading. They are available with either a latest-generation lead-acid or lithium-ion battery. Fleet management and connectivity provide further service options.

“Thanks to the foldable platform, employees can drive on the vehicle, saving time and energy. If, on the other hand, pallets need to be maneuvered with centimeter precision, the driver's platform and side rails can be folded back up in no time”says Product Manager Peter Klug. In the Linde portfolio, the Linde T16 P and T20 P models bridge the gap between purely pedestrian-operated vehicles and the recently introduced, high-performance models with foldable or fixed driver's platform: Their performance is designed for the demands of light to medium-duty applications, while they also feature excellent comfort and safety equipment, various energy options, and state-of-the-art on-board electronics and connectivity.
The 1.3 kW three-phase motor rapidly accelerates the vehicles to 8.5 km/h, and speed limits can be set via parameters. The automatic booster effect provides additional torque in challenging situations, such as when exiting a pothole or removing a foil-wrapped pallet stuck in a truck. Thanks to gradient capabilities of 15% (T16 P) or 13% (T20 P) with a load and 20% without a load, the low-lift pallet trucks offer ample reserve capacity for inclines. Furthermore, the electric steering allows for smooth and precise control even under full load, while the five-point suspension with a centered drive wheel and sprung support rollers ensures stability during transport. Optional integrated onboard chargers eliminate the need for fixed charging stations.
Further improvements in safety and comfort include side bars that keep the operator within the chassis contours and are more robust and padded on the new models. The special drawbar head now has an activation angle of 65°, which is more convenient for shorter operators. The operator's platform has been widened to 663 mm and, at a height of 162 mm, makes getting in and out easier. Spring-loaded and made of non-slip rubber, the platform dampens vibrations and shocks. A new option is the metal accessory rail, to which work lights, scanners, or the Linde BlueSpot can be attached. The optional load guard prevents the load from shifting towards the operator.
