With the award of the contract for a comprehensive release upgrade of the Warehouse Management System WAMAS, SSI Schäfer, in partnership with Coop, is consistently focusing on a homogeneous, future-proof software landscape in Switzerland, Poland, Romania and Germany.

With WAMAS, the Coop Group cooperative aims to achieve a uniform data landscape in its warehouses and more comprehensively digitized processes.
All 60 Coop warehouse locations using WAMAS are being upgraded to the latest software technology. This includes locations in Switzerland, Germany, Poland, and Romania. The new version offers numerous technological and functional enhancements that enable even more efficient control, transparency, and flexibility in logistics processes.
Central Management
The rollout is being implemented through centralized program management – an approach that has proven particularly effective for cross-site requirements and represents a strength of the WAMAS Enterprise WMS approach. Thanks to structured planning, close coordination, and standardized processes, the upgrade can be implemented smoothly and efficiently across all locations.
With this version upgrade, the Coop Group benefits from a unified, state-of-the-art software solution across its extensive warehouse network. This creates improved maintainability and information security, provides the basis for consolidated analyses to optimize the entire logistics chain, and ensures ongoing automation.
