"Euphemism" is an understatement for things that are more challenging than they initially appear. This could also apply to 2022, which Jungheinrich CEO Lars Brzoska recently described as "challenging" at the Annual General Meeting. But there is confidence, and the financial situation is sound. Hans-Georg Frey is leaving.
CEO Lars Brzoska believes that the forklift truck and intralogistics systems manufacturer has developed "sustainably in every respect" in the past year. "We closed the financial year with very good results, had a strong start to the current year, and are optimistic about 2023," Brzoska said. Despite the considerable economic and geopolitical uncertainties, Jungheinrich expects the Group to continue its profitable growth in 2023. Shareholders received a dividend of €0.68 per preferred share and €0.66 per ordinary share.

At the end of the Annual General Meeting, Hans-Georg Frey stepped down from the Supervisory Board. He had served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board since 2019. Prior to that, Frey served as Chairman of the Board of Management of the Group for twelve years. Wolff Lange, representing the shareholder families, acknowledged Frey's contributions to the Group. As expected, the Annual General Meeting appointed Rolf Najork as a new member of the Supervisory Board. Born in Bergisch Gladbach in 1961, Najork served as a member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch from 2019 until the end of 2022 and as Chairman of the Board of Management of Bosch Rexroth from 2016 to August 2022.
Kathrin Elisabeth Dahnke, who has been a court-appointed member of the Supervisory Board since December 2022, was also elected to the Supervisory Board. Born in 1960, she holds a degree in business administration and was CFO of DMG Mori from 2010 to 2014 and currently holds other supervisory board mandates at Knorr-Bremse, B. Braun SE, and Aurubis.

At the Supervisory Board meeting held following the Annual General Meeting, Rolf Najork was elected by the Supervisory Board as its Chairman. Kathrin Elisabeth Dahnke was elected to the Finance and Audit Committee, which she will again chair.
