Weiling, one of Germany's leading organic wholesalers, needs modern logistics to manage its growth and diverse product range. Together with Swisslog, they implemented an automated high-bay warehouse combined with a high-performance AutoStore system that can be flexibly adapted to new requirements.

The AutoStore system was seamlessly integrated into a newly constructed 1,050-square-meter warehouse and offers over 47,000 bin locations. The expansion was carried out in two phases – from 37 to 61 robots and 12 picking stations. Thanks to AutoStore's modular design, the system can be expanded flexibly and as needed at any time.

The organic wholesaler itself generates €267 million in annual revenue with a product range of over 12,000 items, all "100 percent organic," as they claim, "no ifs, ands, or buts." A sophisticated ordering and logistics system enables deliveries in less than 24 hours, six days a week. Incoming and outgoing goods are handled across a total of 39,300 m² of warehouse space in various storage areas and connected to transshipment points throughout the
