A pleasing trade fair result
Following a thorough evaluation of visitor numbers and exhibitor feedback, Easyfairs is pleased with this year's Logistics & Automation trade fair, which took place at Bernexpo at the end of March. 2,800 interested parties took advantage of the opportunity to finally attend the industry event in person again.
Timing belts instead of rope technology
At LogiMAT, from May 31st to June 2nd, Continental will be showcasing an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) for material flow in production plants, warehouses, and logistics centers. The technology provider will also be presenting high-performance timing belts for high-bay warehouses and its tire portfolio for forklifts.
Automatic pallet deposit
The IFOY nominees' list (2): Pallet assessment has traditionally been an additional task at goods receiving, which was resource-intensive and prone to errors. Sick's PACS (Pallet Classification System), based on deep learning, automates this process.
Improved vision technology
Top list of IFOY nominees (1): Current approaches to vehicle localization in intralogistics are based on UWB (ultra-wideband) or LIDAR (light detection and ranging). Both are relatively expensive. Synaos IMS utilizes additional cameras and a technology called "Visual Odometry".
