A pleasing trade fair result

April 29, 2022

Following a thorough evaluation of visitor numbers and exhibitor feedback, Easyfairs is pleased with this year's Logistics & Automation trade fair, which took place at Bernexpo at the end of March. 2,800 interested parties took advantage of the opportunity to finally attend the industry event in person again.

At the long-awaited central industry event in the heart of Switzerland, visitors were offered a wide range of highlights and special areas, as previously reported. At the "Logistics Talks," in cooperation with GS1, and the newly created "Transport & Delivery" trade fair feature, exhibitors and partner associations showcased additional highlights across numerous special areas, ranging from automated storage and conveyor technology and infrastructure to picking and packing solutions. The supporting program in the GS1 Networking Zone was frequently and well-attended, often packed to capacity.

By combining the two trade fairs, "Logistics & Automation" and "Empack," numerous synergies were leveraged to showcase modern transport and intralogistics solutions, handling, and climate-neutral shipping of goods within a sustainable value chain, in collaboration with the packaging industry. Marketing & Content Manager Kristina Nadjarian commented: "The post-COVID-19 spirit of optimism was palpable here in Bern. Exhibitors were extremely busy and didn't have much time for internal discussions with us – which speaks volumes for the trade fair. Due to space constraints, we even had to move our very well-attended press conference on the first day to the exhibitors' lounge, where we were able to conduct stimulating discussions in a pleasant atmosphere. (...) Around 80 exhibitors have already booked for the next edition, which will take place from January 25th to 26th, 2023, in Zurich."

“For ID-Systems AG, Logistics & Automation is the most important Swiss trade fair,” said ID-Systems Managing Director Mike Schneider. “We were able to present the latest technologies from our portfolio, such as freight measurement and wearable scanners. (…) In conjunction with Empack, we also had interested visitors from other industries at our booth, whom we hadn't encountered before. The quality of the trade visitors and exhibitors is high, making the fair attractive for everyone involved. The central location in Bern allowed us to cultivate existing contacts and acquire new customers from all regions of Switzerland.”
As a partner of the fair, it is important for us to keep our members and the industry informed about the latest topics,” said Jan Eberle, Head of Industry Engagement Transport & Logistics at GS1. Our members greatly appreciated access to such a platform. This was confirmed by the high number of visitors to the Logistics Talks and our GS1 booth.”

The greatest appeal lies in the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with numerous experts from a wide range of companies and industries in a short period of time.
