The new lithium-ion batteries and chargers are specifically designed for Hyster forklifts. They have undergone rigorous testing alongside the forklifts. This integrated approach is intended to help companies the risks and complications associated with incompatible third-party battery systems avoid
“Businesses need to be able to rely on their fleet to deliver the best possible performance. Maximizing uptime and preventing downtime are often critical,” says Ken Schreiber, Senior Product Director, Electrical Energy Solutions at Hyster. “The seamless integration of battery, charger, and forklift provides a solution designed for longevity and ensuring safety in demanding industrial applications.”
The batteries are maintenance-free and available in various sizes and capacities. Chargers can be ordered directly from the factory along with the Hyster forklift. Compatible models include Hyster's A- and UT-series electric forklifts, as well as reach trucks, pallet trucks, stackers, and selected industrial warehouse forklifts.
In intensive applications with high operating temperatures, the LFP battery configuration proves to be stable and temperature-tolerant. Operators can easily connect the system without having to open the forklift's engine hood. The connections are easily accessible. Integrated safety sensors prevent the forklift from operating during charging. The batteries withstand more charge and discharge cycles and are suitable for use in harsh environments.
The new battery solutions provide real-time data insights and issue early warnings and alarms regarding critical factors such as battery temperature and charge level. Once commissioned, the battery and charging system remain intelligently connected. A comprehensive warranty of up to 10,000 hours is included.
