At the FachPack trade fair, taking place in Nuremberg from September 24 to 26, Bito is launching crates and boxes that reduce their carbon footprint while complying with the EU Packaging Regulation planned for 2030. Made from recycled materials as standard, they're quiet and easy to handle.
The new EU Packaging Regulation, which is scheduled to come into force in 2030, even stipulates that certain types of packaging will be banned and empty volumes in packaging or transport packaging will be limited as much as possible. From then on, it will also be mandatory that more packaging be reusable and recyclable and/or made from recycled materials. Container experts agree that the topic of sustainability and the circular economy of packaging will therefore once again assume immense importance in the areas of logistics, intralogistics, warehousing, order picking, and transport throughout the EU.
Starting in fall 2024, the RK shelf bin series will be available as standard, made from high-quality recycled material. Modern sorting and automated separation processes now produce extremely robust recycled plastics with high purity. The resulting containers are therefore not only made from 100% recycled material, but can also be supplied in precisely defined colors and are suitable for both manual and automated use.

Also made from 100% high-quality recycled material, there are new Ecomotion models that expand the successful XL-Motion quiet-running container series developed for automated warehouses. The containers also feature the new " easy2divide " with slim and quickly replaceable dividers. Concealed, circumferential drainage openings as a fire protection measure are integrated so discreetly that they are not visible from the outside, preventing disruptions caused by container gaps mistakenly detected by the conveyor system's sensors.
For several years now, Bito-Lagertechnik has been producing the three most common container sizes of the MB reusable container series from recycled material as the MB Eco. This nestable recycling container was certified " Blue Angel " " MB " also celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and has received an ergonomic facelift to mark the anniversary. In addition to the front sides, both long sides are now also equipped with handles for additional gripping aids.

As a foldable, reusable container, the EQ folding box is not only extremely space-saving during transport and storage as an empty container. It was specifically designed for industrial and commercial applications, is particularly stable and resilient, and therefore ideal for use in automated systems. The folding container passed the " ASTM D4169-16 " endurance test at the VDZ GmbH Competence and Testing Center for Packaging and Transport in Dortmund in spring 2024 with flying colors – and thus passed the test as a transport container with regard to the dynamic mechanical stresses during truck transport.
In addition to the circular economy in the production and application of container systems, automation and data transparency are also playing an increasingly important role in transport monitoring. With the new IOB (Internet of Bins & Containers) service offering, the status of Bito containers can be continuously recorded, monitored, and managed throughout the material flow, ensuring automated transparency.
