60 seconds for the new «Superman»

Until now, putting on power suits has often been considered somewhat cumbersome – despite numerous demonstrations to the contrary by experienced users. At German Bionic, the manufacturer of the Apogee exoskeleton, it's said to take just 60 seconds to click on start. AI optimizes handling.
According to German Bionic, the device can be easily integrated into everyday work, operated intuitively, put on and taken off as needed, and individually adjusted with leg loops and variable vest sizes. At this year's LogiMAT, the robotics company will demonstrate how AI-based e-exoskeletons safely and efficiently ergonomically support people with manual handling in intralogistics – thus making workplaces future-proof.
Apogee provides tons of weight compensation every day when moving and transporting goods and products. With extra power, full connectivity, and an ergonomic early warning system, the robotic e-exoskeletons set a new standard for assisted carrying and moving of heavy objects.

German Bionic also participated in the "Fruit Logistica" trade fair in Berlin at the beginning of February. The fruit and vegetable industry has numerous applications for the robotic e-exoskeleton: Moving heavy fruit and vegetable crates, sacks of potatoes, and more is typically physically demanding for packers. For example, thousands of crates and sacks weighing up to 20 kg must be picked every day: lifting, carrying, and moving – from one pallet to another.
With additional robotic power for two body regions during lifting, walking, and carrying, German Bionic's active exoskeletons provide weight compensation of up to 30 kg per lifting movement, according to the manufacturer. A display provides information on weight compensation, the number of steps taken, and more. An integrated AI-based ergonomic early warning system (the "Smart Safety Companion") identifies ergonomic risks within workflows, provides personalized recommendations, and highlights optimization potential.
