Forklift manufacturer Clark has recently seasonedsecuredOfficerwho previously worked for Toyota and Jungheinrich. Thomas Bach began his career at Clark Europe in 2015 as a development engineer and is now moving into the management team.
The material handling equipment manufacturer aims to prepare for the upcoming generational change with this appointment. Effective immediately, Budweit will assume responsibility for operations as Chief Operating Officer (COO), in addition to his role as Director of Sales and Marketing. He has been with Clark Europe since 2012 and has over 30 years of national and international experience in material handling.
Budweit began his career at Clark Europe – after stints,, he also significantly expanded the forklift specialist's sales activities.
Effective immediately, Thomas Bach has assumed the role of Director of R&D and Purchasing at the management level. Bach, a mechanical engineer by training, has demonstrated his expertise in the design and development of industrial trucks and warehouse technology for many years. In 2020, he took over as team leader of the design and development department, where he coordinates development and design projects, among other responsibilities. He also manages collaborations with international suppliers and, in coordination with the company's global plants in the United States, Korea, Vietnam, and China, develops product strategy and planning.
The sales and finance departments remain directly under the authority of Rolf Eiten, President & CEO of Clark Europe.
Since the invention of the forklift truck in 1917 by Eugene Clark in Buchanan, USA, Clark – part of the South Korean Young An Group since 2003 – now has 480 locations in 90 countries and has sold over 1.4 million forklift trucks worldwide, with electric or internal combustion engine drives, lifting capacities of 1.5 - 8 t, warehouse equipment and tractors.
