Hyster's new RO1.6-2.0 pushmaster models are equipped with super-elastic tires on the load and drive wheels, enabling them to maneuver on uneven outdoor terrain as well as in warehouses.
“With the new Hyster reach truck, we have created a two-in-one forklift for mixed indoor and outdoor use that fully exploits the possibilities,” says Monica Radavelli, Product Manager Warehouse at Hyster. “Retrieving pallets inside the warehouse and loading them onto trucks outdoors, or efficiently unloading trucks on any surface and then storing pallets – it’s all possible with just one forklift.”
For added flexibility and optimized warehouse operations, the new Hyster reach truck for outdoor use is comparatively compact and suitable for use in narrow aisles. Triple masts with tilting and laterally sliding forks enable a lifting height of up to 7.5 m in the warehouse.
The new model is optionally available with a lithium-ion battery, enabling rapid charging during breaks. This maximizes fleet uptime. Intermediate charging does not affect the battery's lifespan.

“Lithium-ion batteries offer clean, powerful performance,” says Radavelli. “There’s no need for venting or checking the water level. There’s no risk of acid leakage. Depending on local regulations, existing space can be better utilized since no separate charging area is required. The forklift can simply be plugged into a standard electrical outlet for charging. Furthermore, fewer batteries are needed for multi-shift operation.”
Reach trucks are also available with telescopic forks for outdoor use, which facilitate positioning during transport. They also offer flexibility for applications where trucks are loaded or unloaded from only one side.
Other options include half and full cabins, a full cabin heater, and windshield wipers.
