Linde Material Handling has opened a six-story office building for its headquarters in Aschaffenburg. The new building complex also includes a newly constructed 5,500-square-meter hall for training courses, product presentations, and events.
After just over a year and a half of construction, the new office building was ready for occupancy, and employees from both building complexes, separated only by a narrow street, gathered for the opening ceremony. With the new names Headquarters West and Headquarters East, the main objective of the expansion at Carl-von-Linde-Platz has been achieved: the previously scattered satellite locations throughout the city have been consolidated, and the entire Linde MH headquarters team is now located in one place. "The design and features of the new building offer a first-class working environment for collaboration among employees at the Aschaffenburg site, as well as with the Europe-wide Linde sales and service organization, business partners, and other stakeholders," said Ulrike Just, Executive Vice President Sales & Service Linde MH EMEA, at the opening. "With this expanded, modern headquarters, we are underscoring our attractiveness as an international employer with diverse career opportunities."

For the first time, the "shared desk" system is being implemented at the Aschaffenburg location: Instead of a fixed workstation, employees take a seat at an available desk within their department area when they arrive at the office. In addition to the open-plan office space with desks, numerous other rooms are available on each floor, which can be used for various purposes: small and large meeting rooms with different furnishings and state-of-the-art presentation technology for brainstorming sessions, or a library for individual work in a quiet atmosphere. There is also a spacious, bright break area equipped with a kitchenette, standing tables and bar stools, as well as lounge furniture for spontaneous information exchange and brainstorming.
Located just steps away, the Linde Experience Hub bridges the gap between theory and practice, providing a setting that is both prestigious and functional for a variety of occasions – from demonstrations for individual groups to large customer events or functions for Linde MH's European and global sales and service organization. The hall features a high-bay warehouse, a flexible open area with truck ramps, and various exhibition areas where Linde MH's solution and innovation expertise can be experienced firsthand. Approximately half of the spacious hall is dedicated to vehicle and thematic presentations. In addition, there are training and meeting rooms on two levels, a reception area, service areas, hospitality areas for catering, and ample seating.
