Forklift manufacturer Baoli is launching the KBO 01L. An electric multi-functional device with Li-Ion storage, suitable for both transporting goods and storing and retrieving goods in confined spaces – and whenever a three-meter-high lifting platform is required.
Brand manager Francesco Pampuri speaks of a completely new generation of vehicle. The 24-volt/135 Ah lithium-ion battery ensures that the new multi-functional vehicle is not only easy to handle and maintenance-free, but can also be recharged at any time via the on-board charger using a standard 220-volt outlet. This makes the KBO 01L a low-maintenance workhorse in warehouses, for example in wholesale and retail businesses.
“The vehicle can be used for order picking as well as a work platform,” says Pampuri. The KBO 01L is suitable for virtually all internal goods movements in small and medium-sized warehouses, such as those in wholesale and retail trade or in small and medium-sized enterprises. With a picking height of up to 5 meters and a load capacity of 90 kg, this “little” vehicle can move a lot. Thanks to its low weight of only 800 kg and its compact design, the vehicle is particularly suitable for extremely narrow warehouse aisles.
All driving and lifting functions are electrically operated, and the manually operated lowering handle ensures smooth and gentle lowering processes. "The KBO 01L is really very easy to operate. Instead of complicated turning systems, it has a completely normal steering wheel, which allows the user to execute all movements precisely in narrow aisles and curves," explains Francesco Pampuri. Furthermore, the proportional drive control enables perfect control of the traction functions.
Safety features include reduced travel speed in curves and automatically locking doors when the operator platform is raised. Sensors on the handles detect the operator's correct standing position. If this position is not maintained, all travel and lifting functions are blocked. Further safety features include emergency control of the lifting function and an emergency valve for lowering the operator platform in the event of a technical malfunction.
