Extended load capacities

May 26, 2022

Clark is expanding its S-Series models, available since 2018, with new diesel and LPG lifting machines with lifting capacities from 4 to 5.5 tons (S40-S55). They are available with super-elastic or pneumatic tires.

global launch, debuted successful S-Series, four years ago. With its distinctive "Smart, Strong, and Safe" features, aimed to Clark set a benchmark for future generations of forklifts. Like their smaller counterparts with lifting capacities from 2 to 3.5 tons, the new models are equipped with active safety systems, a smart information system, and a wide range of optional extras. Operators can tailor the vehicles to their specific needs, achieving high productivity with a low total cost of ownership (TCO). theoperator for Ergonomics and safety are also key considerations

thevehicles impress with their robust construction, reliable, safe and powerful operation, and predictably low operating and maintenance costs. They feature the wet, maintenance-free multi-disc brake, a durable and electronically protected gearbox, in-house manufactured lifting masts with a robust 6-roller fork carriage, the extremely stable steering axle , and the fully welded frames typical of Clark.

The Kubota V3800-CR-TE5B 4-cylinder diesel engine with common-rail fuel injection features fully electronic engine management. This makes it not only environmentally friendly but also characterized by optimized torque delivery and more economical operation. Thanks to integrated exhaust aftertreatment with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and diesel particulate filter (DPF), the Kubota meets the stringent EU Stage V emissions standards.

Clark offers the S-Series with numerous safety features, including a standard automatic parking brake that engages automatically when the vehicle is parked, significantly simplifying the operator's daily work. The vehicle control system prevents the forklift from moving against the parking brake, increasing safety and extending the lifespan of the components. The parking brake also enhances safety on ramps, ensuring the operator always has control, as unintentional rolling away or backward is prevented. This anti-rollback feature is standard and can be activated or deactivated via the vehicle control system. The integrated direction switch in the hydraulic or mini-lever further enhances safety and convenience, allowing the operator to change direction without having to reposition their hands.

A load weight indicator is available as an option. With the also optional Vertical Mast System (VMS), a tilt sensor automatically brings the mast into a vertical position, enabling. The VMS keeps the mast vertical during both forward and backward tilting and compensates for uneven floors or ramps. A speed limiter is available as an option to adapt the forklift's maximum travel speed to the specific application. And last but not least, Clark offers a car-like reversing camera.

The splash-proof 5-inch TFT color display provides information on all important vehicle parameters, such as driving speed, load weight, and remaining operating time until the next service. Safety and warning messages are individually programmable and displayed in 26 languages. The display also serves for onboard diagnostics and has password-protected access for service purposes. To save fuel and increase safety, the vehicle can be programmed to automatically shut off the engine when idling as soon as the operator leaves the forklift seat. When a reversing camera is used, the image is displayed on the color screen.

Clark offers the S-Series with extensive optional equipment for a wide range of applications. This includes container-compatible overhead guards, the aforementioned reversing camera, a safety light for visual warning when driving forwards and backwards, an audible reversing alarm, various seats with armrests or side bars, SE tires, orange seat belts, and a variety of attachments. Furthermore, various cab options are available: these range from rain protection (cab roof) or weather protection (roof and windshield) to a partial cab (roof, windshield, and rear window) and a fully equipped cab with a two-part side door and sliding window, air conditioning, heating with a proportionally controlled heating valve, a heated rear window, and front and rear windshield wipers. This allows the operator to work comfortably and with full concentration, even in the harshest climatic conditions.
