With the electrification of the largest series, namely now also the machines in the load capacity range of ten to 18 t, the entire range of Linde Material Handling counterbalance forklifts is now available in emission-free versions.
There are a total of twelve models, distinguished by their excellent all-around visibility and the flexibility to choose between lead-acid and lithium-ion battery technology. The Linde E100 to E180, with lifting capacities of 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 18 tons and various load centers, are likely to be of particular companies in the wood, steel, stone, and beverage industries. A large furniture store is already among the first customers.
“Zero emissions, low noise, ease of maintenance, flexibility in use, and precise and agile handling – these are all advantages that speak in favor of electric drive, even in the heavy-duty class,” says Christopher Reis, Product Manager for Heavy Trucks. “With the electric heavy-duty forklift, users get a vehicle that is just as worthwhile for light use as it is for continuous 24/7 operation.”

Operators not only have a free choice between lead-acid and lithium-ion battery systems. "The special feature is that they can also change the battery technology at any time without having to modify the vehicle hardware. This is a truly unique selling point of these vehicles and has a positive impact on their resale value," says Christopher Reis.
A special drive concept with four motors – two for the left wheel and two for the right – provides the necessary power for transporting the impressive load weights. This allows the most powerful model, the Linde E180/900, with a lifting capacity of 18 t and a load center of gravity of 900 mm , to accelerate to 20 km/h in just ten seconds when fully loaded.

Thenew heavy-duty forklift series is structurally based on the eight-ton series: with double the drive system, double the lifting hydraulics, two batteries, and scaled-up pumps. The decoupled, rubber-mounted cab is also borrowed from the smaller forklifts, but has been significantly improved in terms of all-around visibility: a reinforced glass roof, large glass surfaces in the doors on the right and left, as well as in the front and rear windshields, together with the specially shaped counterweight, offer the driver excellent visibility and thus enhanced safety during operation. The optional 17-degree swivel seat with armrest provides relief when reversing. An orange seatbelt with buckle monitoring helps ensure compliance with mandatory seatbelt regulations.
