The goal is 35,000 visitors

August 25, 2023

on the success of the "Corona year" to build 29,885 visitors came to Bern despite the pandemic. This year, the "carrosserie," "transport," and "aftermarket" trade fairs will again take place simultaneously, from November 8th to 11th at the Bernexpo exhibition center.

The goal is to attract "around 35,000 visitors" to Bern, explains organizing committee president Dominique Kolly. Preparations, adds trade fair director Jean-Daniel Goetschi, "are proceeding according to plan and promise four unforgettable days." The attractions and premieres already announced by the exhibitors, as well as an expanded supporting program, will contribute to this success.

Conceptually, the organizers of Expotrans SA, who themselves come from the mobility sector, are largely relying on continuity: "No major changes are planned for 2023," says Kolly. "We have only further expanded the area of specialist events and congresses."

Following the numerous global disruptions of the past, the aim is "above all to offer exhibitors stability. The trade fairs should serve as a meeting place for the entire industry and also provide space for socializing," said Goetschi.

Accordingly, the organizers also endeavored to compensate for the loss of the old festival hall, which must be replaced by a new building by 2025, with additional exhibition space. Five mobile halls will supplement the offerings at the Bern exhibition grounds.

Side events and specialist sessions complement the program. The industry gathering is organized by Expotrans SA, a company supported by industry professionals. The event is supported by its patronage partners : ASTAG Switzerland (Commercial Vehicle Association), AGVS (Swiss Association of the Automotive Trade), auto schweiz (Association of Official Automobile Importers), carrosserie suisse, Les Routiers Suisses, SAA Swiss Automotive Aftermarket, and VFFS (Association of Freelance Vehicle Experts Switzerland).
