An expanded congress program is promised by the Test Camp Intralogistics, which will take place in Dortmund on March 26 and 27 in the run-up to the IFOY runs with more than 40 international speakers from Europe, China and the USA.
The Intralogistics Test Camp is the premier test event with an accompanying congress for innovations in logistics and intralogistics. Participants have the opportunity to test drive forklifts, work "live" with exoskeletons, operate all types of warehouse technology themselves, interact with driverless transport vehicles and logistics robots, and try out software. Decision-makers from industry, trade, and services with a concrete interest in innovation and investment thus have the opportunity to test the exhibited products themselves and learn about key trends.
On the first day of the Logistics & Robotics Conference, participants and visitors will discuss topics such as artificial intelligence, automation, startups, transport digitalization, and warehouse technology on the main stage. The second day will focus primarily on robotics and industrial image processing. Representatives from companies like BMW, Ikea, and Ludwig Meister will present best-practice examples.
Finally, two groups of visitors will have the opportunity to tour the former Westfalenhütte steelworks in Dortmund and visit the DTM2 logistics center of e-commerce giant Amazon. On March 26th, another group will be guided through the research hall of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics.
Test innovations yourself
“What makes this event stand out is not only the knowledge transfer about high-tech in logistics and the intensive networking, but also the testing of around 10,000 innovations,” announces Testcamp Management CEO Thilo Jörgl. Visitors can drive forklifts, test robots, and try out new IT tools in over 10,000 square meters of exhibition space. In the special “Warehouse meets Transportation” test area, exhibitors covering approximately 1,000 square meters include Blickfeld, Cargoclix, CHEP, enabl, Fraunhofer IML, Krone, Timocom, and Ravas Europe.

Many visitors are traveling to the event to see and test the nominees for the internationally renowned International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck (IFOY) Award. The equipment and solutions will undergo their three-stage audit in the hall on March 25th. Jan Drömer, Chairman of the Board of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association, will present the "Best in Intralogistics" certificates to the manufacturers whose products successfully complete the audit. This year, a total of 21 nominees from 15 manufacturers are in the final round.
