One of the numerous events at Logistics & Automation (January 22nd/23rd) in Zurich will be a panel discussion as part of the GS1 Logistics Talks with Daniel Gilgen, Stefan Mahler (Swisslog) and Lidl Switzerland Logistics Director Norman Peuker. The topic is: Who will be in charge in the future: humans or machines?
However, this is just one of the numerous points that contribute to the added value of the information-rich supporting program for the industry meeting with (including the parallel Empack) around 160 exhibitors.

The event kicks off on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 9:15 a.m. with an introduction to 2D coding by Jonas Batt, Head of Industry Engagement Consumer Goods/Retail at GS1 Switzerland. Martin Lörtscher, CEO of Hugelshofer, the winner of the 2024 Swiss Logistics Award and a transport company, will join the event at 10:00 a.m. to provide insights into the current state of e-mobility in freight transport. Zafer Bakir, Chief Business Transformation Officer of Lagerhäuser Aarau, will discuss sustainability strategies within the framework of the Lean & Green initiative.
Leon Zacharias, Project Manager for Logistics Innovation at the Institute for Production and Supply Chain Management, University of St. Gallen, and Ludwig Häberle, Research Associate at the Institute for Production and Supply Chain Management, University of St. Gallen, will provide an overview of the latest figures, facts, and findings from the Swiss logistics market study. At noon (1 p.m.), Jeremy Kehrli, Head of Business Development & Sales at Ampere Dynamic Switzerland GmbH, even sees logistics on its way to becoming an "energy champion.".
