
Swissmem reports an exceptionally successful appearance with a Swiss pavilion, featuring 40 Swiss companies and brands, at the CCMT manufacturing technology trade fair in Shanghai. A Swiss logo projection was staged amidst the Shanghai skyline in front of 230 guests.
The largest event for the manufacturing industry in China attracted around 125,000 visitors to the 17 halls of the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC), which covered an area of 200,000 square meters. Among the 1,877 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions, 32 Swiss companies and eight brands made a strong showing.
Projection on the Huangpu
The "Swiss Pavilion," with its 2,237 square meters, was the fourth largest of all 13 national pavilions and attracted considerable attention due to its appearance and placement. Consul General Sacha Bachmann and a high-ranking Swissmem delegation, led by President Martin Hirzel, also attended the opening. On the same day, a well-attended Swiss evening took place on the banks of the Huangpu River, which flows through Shanghai.
