Preparations for Empack, the Swiss packaging industry's meeting place taking place concurrently with Logistics & Automation on January 24th and 25th in Bern, are entering their final phase. Key participants include the Swiss Packaging Institute, expert panels, and the Swiss Packaging Award 2024.
Since Empack takes place in parallel with Logistics & Automation, a total of over 180 companies will be represented, benefiting from synergies along the value chain.
The expert discussions and panel discussions of the "Packaging Talks" will focus primarily on trending topics in the circular economy (reducing material consumption, reuse, recycling, and new approaches). Among other things, the advantages and disadvantages of packaging materials such as paper/cardboard, glass, and plastic will be examined in detail. The EU regulation PPWR will also be addressed. On the second day of the trade fair, the program continues with engaging presentations from prominent figures from ZHAW, Empa, CEOs, and CTOs of well-known companies, who will address e-commerce, digitalization, and the shortage of skilled workers.
Always interesting: The exhibition featuring last year's Swiss Packaging Award winners at the SVI stand, where questions about the Packaging Academy's training and continuing education programs will also be answered.
