The jury for the annual “Best Product” award at LogiMAT in Stuttgart will receive new input from a professional perspective from Professor Alice Kirchheim of Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg starting at the next intralogistics trade fair.

Together with her six fellow jury members from academia and the media, she will review and evaluate the applications submitted by exhibitors. Awards will be given to outstanding achievements in three categories that significantly contribute to streamlining, cost savings, and increased productivity in intralogistics. "I look forward to contributing to the visibility of innovative products for the intralogistics of the future as a jury member," said Kirchheim.

Alice Kirchheim conducts research and teaches in the field of planning and designing logistics systems. Her focus is on developing solutions for automating logistical handling, transport, and transshipment processes.

Alice Kirchheim studied at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). After graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering, she first worked as a research assistant at the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics at the University of Bremen and later at Reutlingen University. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the identification of individual items for automated unloading from load carriers. From 2013 to 2019, Alice Kirchheim held various sales positions in manual and automated logistics systems at several companies within the KION Group. She then became a professor at Aalen University. Since March 2021, she has been establishing the professorship for "Technology of Logistics Systems.".
