Logistics showcase in Bern

September 15, 2023

With its focus on knowledge transfer and opportunities for exchanging experiences between suppliers and practitioners, the Logistics & Automation trade fair will once again take place on January 24th and 25th at the Expo grounds in Bern. It promises to be another groundbreaking event for the logistics and automation industry in Switzerland.

With over 70 exhibitors already registered, the event, themed "The future of intralogistics technology," promises to once again be the leading platform for innovations and developments in intralogistics, a role it has proven itself to in recent years. Excellent technical content is guaranteed again this year by established trade fair partners and associations such as ASTAG, GS1 Switzerland, Swiss Supply, ASFL SVBL, ILS, and the Swiss Venture Club (SVC).

The concurrently held "EMPACK" trade fair enables optimal synergy with the entire packaging value chain. Together, over 160 exhibitors will reach more than 3,500 expected trade visitors, including many decision-makers.

The exhibitor list for 2024 promises an impressive selection of companies from the industry: Jungheinrich will be represented again, and Linde Material Handling Switzerland and imperia systems ag will also be key players as premium partners. Other important exhibitors include Galliker Transport, Fanuc Switzerland, Gebrüder Weiss, Stöcklin Logistik, and SSI Schäfer. The diversity of the companies represented reflects the wide range of innovations that the intralogistics industry has to offer.

The supporting program will retain the proven "Discover, Learn, Connect" concept with compact, free, and high-caliber expert presentations. The trade fair's main theme, "The future of intralogistics technology," reflects the industry's commitment to continuous development and finding future-proof solutions for the challenges faced by Swiss startups and SMEs, as well as for modern logistics and the automation of industrial processes, says trade fair director Kristina Nadjarian.

In January of this year, the event in Zurich enjoyed great popularity among both exhibitors and visitors. According to a visitor survey, 91 percent of attendees were satisfied with the trade fair, 87 percent would recommend it, and 80 percent particularly appreciated the synergy with the concurrent "Empack" trade fair. The majority of exhibitors emphasized the quality of the visitor contacts and the opportunity to share their expertise and build business relationships.

Kristina Nadjarian: "In Bern and Zurich, we address a wide variety of target groups from the regions, and both exhibition centers are easily accessible from both western and eastern Switzerland."

Highlights of the supporting program will once again include the "Logistics Talks" in cooperation with GS1 Switzerland, focusing on decarbonization, digitalization and smart logistics, as well as the shortage of skilled workers. Additionally, a joint stand in cooperation with ILS (Intralogistics Switzerland) will be presented, which, with 20 exhibitors, is already fully booked. Reportedly, Balluff, Flück Fördertechnik, Gilgen Logistics, Bito, and Kern Studer will be among the exhibitors.
