After the IFOY comes the next IFOY. The application portal for the International Forklift and Intralogistics Competition 2024 is now open until October 30th on the familiar online platform. The test days and camp will take place from April 8th to 11th.
Intralogistics providers worldwide can submit their new developments and projects for consideration. For the twelfth edition of the award in 2024, a total of eleven categories will be up for selection, covering all areas of intralogistics. Eligible applications include forklifts and warehouse equipment, as well as custom-built special-purpose vehicles.
The largest pool of applicants for the IFOY awards now comprises automated and autonomous industrial trucks, stationary and mobile robots, software, and outstanding technical details or components such as ergonomic innovations, safety solutions, or warehouse aids. Awards are also given for successfully implemented, integrated warehouse and automation projects at customer sites. A separate IFOY Award is presented to start-up companies.
The IFOY Award has proven itself as an indicator of efficiency and innovation and, due to its professional expertise and outstanding marketing value, is considered a highly sought-after innovation prize in intralogistics. The jury, comprised of the editors-in-chief of leading international logistics publications, including the Swiss-based LogisticsInnovation.org in cooperation with the International Transport Journal (Basel), makes its decisions electronically, independently, anonymously, according to transparent criteria, and based on extensive professional expertise.
Those nominated by the jury undergo – as is well known – the three-stage IFOY Audit at the IFOY Test Days, consisting of the IFOY Test, the scientific IFOY Innovation Check, and the jury test. Crucially
The key difference is that the nominees are not compared to each other, but rather to their competitors' devices already on the market. The camp will again take place at the Dortmund Exhibition Centre next year. The testing days begin two days earlier – on the afternoon of April 8th with the first functional tests. On April 9th, the IFOY finalists will undergo the scientific IFOY Innovation Check and present their developments to the jury of trade journalists, who will be traveling from 18 countries.
