The Swiss Association for Temperature-Controlled Logistics, headquartered at Galliker Transport AG in Altishofen, has chosen a location perfectly suited to showcase electromobility, new drive and cooling methods. On September 11th, the focus will be on Power & Cool: electric and hydrogen propulsion as well as cryo-N₂ cooling.

The temperature-controlled transport logistics of tomorrow, as is well known, relies on new energy sources: electrically powered vehicles, hydrogen trucks with long range, and innovative cryogenic cooling with nitrogen, say President Marco Manzetti and Managing Director Christian Pauli, are not a distant vision. They already exist in practice, some have even won awards and received multiple accolades.
Much has already been achieved
This applies to road transport, from urban to long-distance, to hydrogen and fuel cell systems, H₂ as a game-changer for heavy commercial vehicles, cryo-cooling with nitrogen (N₂), gases already widely used in logistics along with their risks, applications and opportunities, as well as to fire protection, which must meet special requirements for alternative drive systems and new technologies. Developments are progressing rapidly – concrete applications require careful consideration.

The technology update in Altishofen , featuring current information on industry achievements to date, kicks off at 1:30 p.m. with Philipp Galliker. The program continues with Beat Hirschi discussing hydrogen-powered vehicles, such as those used by Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility, followed by Massimo Colella on Cyrotrucks/ESA, Patrick Wagner & Jens Büchler on effective fire protection, and a tour of current vehicle technologies, concluding with a networking reception. The event will end around 7:30 p.m.
