This year's Innovation Day of the Institute for Supply Chain Management was characterized by numerous discussions about challenges and innovations in the global logistics business, and was attended by over one hundred participants at the Hotel "Einstein" in St. Gallen.
Project manager and organizer Leon Zacharias considers the «SCID24» a complete success. As previously reported, the dominant theme was «Supply Chain Viability 2024 – Supply Chains in the Tension Between Efficiency, Resilience and Sustainability», which offered numerous opportunities for exciting discussions and valuable exchanges regarding the current challenges and opportunities in supply chain logistics.

Various themed sessions focused on topics such as restructuring supply chain management and strategies for more resilient supply chains. High-caliber experts engaged in intensive discussions about best practices and future developments. Particular attention was paid to keynote speeches by Logistics Division Commander Rolf André Siegenthaler of the Swiss Army on current challenges in military logistics, and by Tobias Jerschke of Kühne + Nagel, who provided valuable insights for designing internal logistics processes. Project Manager Zacharias commented: "The event clearly demonstrated that topics such as efficiency, resilience, and sustainability are gaining increasing importance in supply chain logistics, and companies are increasingly relying on innovative solutions."
