Human-centered support systems

May 1, 2024

German Bionic Paris 3

Looking far into the future, exoskeleton manufacturer German Bionic is showcasing its "360° Human Augmentation" at the leading European technology trade fair "Viva Technology" in Paris. The company promises new human-machine interfaces, human-centered robotics, and new data analysis tools.

From May 22nd to 25th, 2024, in addition to the AI-supported power suits Apogee and Apogee+, the concept of "Bridging Humanity & Tech" will offer a glimpse into future IT-supported "wearables" that are intended to help people sustainably develop their individual potential (Hall 1, Booth J40-003).

“At German Bionic, we develop robotic technology with a very conscious focus on humans. On the occasion of VivaTech 2024, we invite everyone to join us on a human-centered 360° augmentation journey,” says Armin G. Schmidt, founder and CEO of German Bionic.

Last year at VivaTech, German Bionic unveiled its latest intelligent e-exoskeletons, Apogee and Apogee+, and won the "Elections de la Tech" audience award. Building on this success, German Bionic is presenting a holistic ecosystem for human-centered robotics this year, aiming to demonstrate how human augmentation technologies, such as robotic e-exoskeletons and other wearables, can be sustainably integrated into everyday life. The goal is to promote their acceptance and widespread adoption to the point where they are comparable to other groundbreaking innovations like ChatGPT.

The new modular system incorporates the latest e-exoskeleton models at both the software and hardware levels. The IO data and analytics suite integrates real-time data analysis and AI-driven recommendations, complemented by user-friendly gamification elements.

“Technologies like our robotic e-exoskeletons won’t solve all the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s workplace, but they offer practical solutions for specific problems. And they are already available and proven in use,” said Schmidt.

The Apogee and Apogee+ e-exoskeletons compensate for up to 30 kg per lifting motion, offer active support when walking and carrying to reduce fatigue, promote mobility, and are equipped with an AI-based "Smart Safety" system.

VivaTech 2024 will take place from May 22nd to 25th, 2024 at the exhibition center «Paris Expo Porte de Versailles».
