From January 24th to 25th, 2024, BernExpo will once again be a vibrant hub for the industry. The trade fair, together with the concurrently running packaging trade fair "Empack," expects at least as many visitors as last year. Supported by renowned associations such as GS1 Switzerland, Swiss Supply, Swiss Logistics (ASFL SVBL), Astag, ILS, and the Swiss Venture Club (SVC), "Logistics & Automation 2024" promises a forum for business, innovation, and forward-looking discussions. The "Logistics Talks" will also offer a wealth of trending topics and insights.
The leading Swiss trade fair once again presents itself as a major platform for leading companies in the industry, as well as for associations and educational institutions dedicated to research and the promotion of young talent in the field of intralogistics. Exhibitors include Jungheinrich, Galliker, Fanuc Switzerland, Rhenus, Gebrüder Weiss, Stöcklin Logistik, and many more. In addition to premium partners imperia systems, Linde Material Handling Switzerland, and Swiss Post International, trade visitors can look forward to a joint ILS stand. These expert panels and discussions provide a forum for exchanging information on current trends and challenges facing the industry. Participants will explore potential solutions for companies to become more competitive and sustainable.

Duerler (President of Swiss Logistics by ASFL SVBL) opens Thursday with a discussion on new career fields in logistics and approaches to combating the shortage of skilled workers. André Kirchhofer (Vice Director of ASTAG) then addresses the topic of LSVA III (performance-based heavy vehicle tax concept, effective at the end of 2024) and presents the advantages of this concept.
ILS President Peter Spycher addresses the importance of investing in employee safety, using the example of shelving experts. Daniel Moser, strategic advisor to the industry initiative "Movement'32," concludes the program with a methodological perspective on the issue of skilled labor shortages.
