Participants and guests rated the Transfer Festival, organized for the first time this year in the run-up to the IFOY awards ceremony by Digital.Hub Logistics and Fraunhofer IML, as a resounding success. The networking event preceding the festival took place in the institute's nearby halls.
Before the IFOY Gala kicked off at 6 p.m. at the Dortmunder U, numerous IFOY finalists, VIP guests, and scientists gathered at the Fraunhofer IML under the festival motto "do, transfer, network." Of the 14 sessions, the IFOY team organized two "fishbowl" discussions on sustainability and automation. Joining host Thilo Jörgl (IFOY Organization) to delve into the "crystal ball" of sustainability were Volker Fennemann, Head of Environmental and Resource Logistics at IML; Raimund Paetzmann (Vice President Logistics Network Expansion and Real Estate, Zalando); Frank Müller, Brand Manager at Still; and Andrea Goemann, Sustainability Expert at JAS.

In the Fishbowl discussion on automation issues (in English), alongside host Dr. Jana Jost (Fraunhofer IML), Mikhail Voloskov, Managing Director Volume Lagersysteme, Guido Follert (IML Department Head Machines and Plants), and Schenker Development Manager Thilo Koch held their question-and-answer sessions.
