The fire is left without air
The fire protection specialists of the Wagner Group have been honored with the "GIT Safety Award 2026" for their "OxyReduct F-Line." The system expands the OxyReduct process with H2- based fuel cell technology, which simultaneously ensures emission-free energy supply.

Temperature-controlled at the motorway junction
Movianto, a logistics service provider specializing in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, is setting up a new cold storage facility in Wiesloch-Walldorf this month. A photovoltaic system there produces approximately 3,100 MWh per year, more electricity than the site consumes.

Fusion reactor in creep mode
Despite all the political turmoil currently shaking the world, work on the ITER fusion reactor, in which countless nations are involved, continues – much like on the ISS. Recently, another of the 15-meter-high segments for the future plasma chamber was delivered by heavy-duty transport.

TX Logistik takes over Exploris
TX Logistik takes over Exploris
TX Logistik AG, a company of the Mercitalia Group, which bundles the logistics activities of the state-owned railway company FS Italiane, is acquiring the rail freight transport provider Exploris, thus becoming the second-largest rail transport provider in Germany.
Exploris Deutschland Holding's companies also include Via Cargo, HSL Logistik, and Delta Rail, which operate in rail freight transport in eight European countries. "With this acquisition, we are creating another cornerstone for achieving the European Union's goals of shifting freight transport to rail," says Sabrina De Filippis, CEO of Mercitalia Logistics.
Exploris' international rail connections are strongly focused on the east-west transport axes and ideally complement the TX Logistics network, which is already extensively established along Europe's north-south axis. Exploris operating companies operate with their own safety certifications in the rail markets of Germany, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, and Switzerland.
Exploris operates around 240 trains per week for the transport of steel, gypsum, agricultural products, automobiles, construction machinery, and petroleum products for numerous industrial and logistics customers.
specializes primarily in intermodal transport and combined transport with connections to container trains in the employees at TX Logistik will increase by 500 to a total of 1,200. The fleet will consist of 91 TX locomotives and 75 Exploris locomotives. Sales could soon exceed €500 million.
The activities of the acquired Exploris companies also include shipping services in Germany and Poland, as well as shunting services, also provided in Germany and Poland, as well as a dedicated academy for the training and continuing education of train drivers. The academy represents an important resource to counteract the shortage of qualified personnel, a critical element for the entire railway sector. The acquisition is still subject to regulatory approval.
