WPAlbeck
Wolfgang P. Albeck is stepping down as CEO of the express delivery service specializing in the healthcare, cosmetics, consumer electronics, and other sensitive goods sectors and will move to the supervisory board. Geodis CEO Thomas Kraus will take over on an interim basis.
Albeck will serve as a personal advisor to Geodis CEO Marie-Christine Lombard. He will advise Lombard on matters relating to the global strategic development of the group. Effective February 1st, Kraus will assume the role of trans-o-flex CEO in addition to his responsibilities at Geodis Europe until a successor for Albeck is found. He will be supported by the other two trans-o-flex managing directors, Eugen Günther (Sales) and Michael Schmidt (Finance).
Before Albeck took over responsibility at trans-o-flex in 2017, he worked for two decades at Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) in numerous management positions in the parcel and express organization.

Prior to this, the trained freight forwarding agent had worked for TNT Express for around ten years in management positions. Albeck began his career at medium-sized freight forwarding companies. "In recent years, the entire trans-o-flex team has developed enormously," says Albeck. "Together, we have been able to make the flexible organization the market leader in our segment. With Geodis as the new parent company, the timing is right for a generational change at the top of trans-o-flex."
Before joining Geodis, Thomas Kraus held various management positions in sales and marketing at TNT since 1990. In 2006, he took over as CEO of TNT Innight, a multi-country organization specializing in overnight distribution with 1,200 employees in seven countries.

The addition of the trans-o-flex network to the existing freight forwarding and contract logistics activities has significantly strengthened Geodis' position in Germany. Kraus: "Together, with more than 3,400 employees, we generate almost €1.5 billion in revenue.".
