The Wagner Group launched its operations on the Indian subcontinent at the beginning of June with a new subsidiary, "Wagner Fire Safety India Private Limited." The focus is primarily on logistics, with an emphasis on cold storage, as well as pharmaceuticals, data centers, and textile production.
“With this move into India, we are further implementing our Wagner.2026 strategy and, alongside our solid market position within Europe and our North American business, are simultaneously expanding our Europe-Southeast Asia axis,” said Wagner CEO Steffen Springer. “In this context, India is a strategically important market where we see great growth potential.” The company has already successfully entered the Indian market once before through its subsidiary Wagner Rail GmbH, based in Haar/Munich, which sells fire protection systems for rail transport.

At the helm of Wagner India are Torsten Wagner and Steffen Springer – both managing directors of the Wagner Group – together with Sandeep Hajra, who has direct access to the local market. The manager, with many years of leadership experience in various globally operating corporations, aims to develop and expand the business with integrated fire protection solutions in his home market. "I look forward to developing and establishing Wagner India in the local market. Fire protection in our core market segments is a crucial issue: economically and ecologically, as well as with regard to public safety. I see great market potential in India and its neighboring countries for superior fire protection solutions," says Hajra.
