Thomas Quante 

Most recently, he was responsible for fire protection systems, among other things, within the Building Technologies division. Thomas Quante will take over as head of the entire Building Technology division in June. The 54-year-old succeeds Tanja Rückert (51), who will become the new Chief Digital Officer of the Bosch Group.

The business administration graduate began his career at Bosch in 1994 and held management positions with strategic and operational responsibility in various business units both domestically and internationally. Quante possesses extensive experience in the B2B sector as well as in-depth market and customer knowledge in building and security technology.

He has worked for Building Technologies since 2012, initially heading the international business for professional communication and audio systems based in Burnsville, USA. In 2015, he became a member of the Building Technologies Executive Board . There, he played a key role in establishing and successfully developing the international systems integration business.

The business unit offers solutions and services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation in selected countries. In fiscal year 2020, approximately 8,800 employees generated €1.9 billion in revenue. The portfolio includes video security, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and voice alarm systems, as well as access control and management systems.
