Swisslog and La Réserve des Saveurs announce a significant advancement in frozen food logistics with a so-called "tri-temperature management" system. This system is designed to allow the simultaneous storage of fresh, frozen, and dry goods, eliminating the need for separate cold storage facilities. But does it work?
According to Swisslog, two systems are arranged side by side and connected by a conveyor belt controlled by the SynQ WMS/WCS – one for ambient temperature, the other for fresh products with two deep-freeze modules.

Order picking and replenishment take place at a central interface. Pre-prepared orders can also be temporarily stored in the system and retrieved later – similar to a supermarket drive-through.
Interface to AutoStore
Thanks to Swisslog's AutoStore Multi-Temperature Solution, La Réserve des Saveurs has been able to improve its operations, optimize its storage capacity, reduce the delivery time for orders to less than half a day, and simultaneously reduce its CO₂ footprint.
Award ceremony in Paris
“This project is a true revolution for our company. It not only significantly improves our efficiency but also reduces our CO₂ footprint,” said Alexandre Grandjean, CEO of La Réserve des Saveurs. Swisslog France and La Réserve des Saveurs already won a supply chain award in France in July 2024 for this project.
