Under the direction of Fabio Regazzi, President of the Swiss Shipper's Council (SSC), and moderated by ITJ Editor-in-Chief Christian Doepgen, a forum for the shipper industry will take place at the Hotel Viktoria Jungfrau Interlaken, with topics that also have something of interest for intralogistics specialists.

Under the motto "The right innovations for your supply chain!" , the event, according to Fabio Regazzi, will not only highlight current challenges in international trade but also look to the future of AI and other innovations. A key highlight announced in advance is the world premiere of a communicating pallet called "NUBO," designed for use on all types of transport. The upcoming tightening of regulations in sea freight due to container cleanliness requirements will also be addressed ("Is this where the next insect invasion is lurking?" asks James Hookham of the Global Shipper's Forum), and the potential impact on Swiss shippers will be discussed.

The current problems in the Red Sea and the effects of the war of aggression in Ukraine are further topics covered by experts.

A large delegation from the Port of Genoa/Savona will also be participating. The panel discussion on Friday morning promises an in-depth discussion about connecting the southern ports – an important issue for Swiss shippers – with Peter Füglistaler, Paolo Piacenza (West Ligurian Sea Port Authority), SSC President Fabio Regazzi, and Eduardo Rixi, Italy's Minister of Infrastructure and Transport. Later that morning, FHNW Professor Knut Hinkelmann will discuss the possibilities and limitations of future AI systems.
