A consultant from Berlin will advise the transport industry, shippers, municipalities, and institutions on the implementation of logistics processes and refueling/charging infrastructure for transalpine freight transport. A corresponding agreement has been concluded with the Prien Logistics Competence Center.

Berlin-based logistics consultancy Green Logistics Enabler (GLE) has been a new partner of the Logistics Competence Center (LKZ) at Lake Chiemsee since September. At the sidelines of an autumn conference in Munich in mid-October 2023, GLE owner Bruno Lukas and LKZ Managing Director Petra Seebauer announced the collaboration, which will focus on Bavaria and the cross-border Alpine region. The partners aim to support transport companies, freight forwarders, and shippers with their own truck fleets, as well as municipalities, in the gradual transition to a climate-neutral fleet, taking a technology-neutral and manufacturer-independent approach.

The focus will be on analyzing the current state and needs of truck fleets, including a holistic view of the entire environment. Together with each client, sustainable fleet concepts will be developed, and support will be provided for the organizational adaptation of logistics processes. Upon request, the project team will also organize test deployments with electric trucks or trucks with other alternative drive systems.

“We provide our customers with comprehensive support – from fleet analysis and concept development through the testing phase to step-by-step implementation,” says Petra Seebauer, Managing Director of LKZ. “The two partners contribute their expertise and areas of specialization in such a way that the customer receives a ‘360-degree package’ from a single source.” GLE brings its many years of expertise in fleet management and commercial vehicle technology. “With our high-performing network, consisting of vehicle manufacturers, infrastructure providers, planning offices, and installation companies, we also support the complete implementation of a climate-neutral fleet. We work in a manufacturer-neutral and technology-agnostic manner,” emphasizes GLE founder Bruno Lukas.

The range extends from electric and hydrogen drives to alternative fuels such as biogas and HVO. Implementation focuses on what suits the customer's specific application and is economically viable. Workshops, market reports, and training courses will round out the joint offering.
