The technology and automotive group has appointed Katja Dürrfeld as its new Chief Financial Officer. CEO Nikolai Setzer stated: "We have a close and consistently constructive working relationship." At the same time, the mandate of Chief Human Resources and Sustainability Officer Ariane Reinhart has been extended.
In mid-December, theSupervisory Board appointed Katja Dürrfeld (49) as the new Head of Finance . In addition to Group Finance and Controlling, she is responsible for the Group Information Technology division. Furthermore, will be she starting in the new year, responsible for Finance and Controlling within the future Automotive division. Dürrfeld succeeds Nikolai Setzer, who had assumed the role on an interim basis within the Executive Board following the departure of Wolfgang Schäfer. Since then, Dürrfeld had already been serving as the interim head of these areas below the Executive Board level.
Katja Dürrfeld began her career at Continental in 1997. The business administration graduate held several operational positions in IT, marketing, sales, logistics, auditing, and purchasing before taking over as Head of Systems & Standards in the corporate finance department in 2008, followed by Head of Corporate Auditing in 2013. In 2018, she moved to the ContiTech business unit as Head of Finance, Controlling, and IT.

In a further resolution, the Supervisory Board has prematurely extended the mandate of Ariane Reinhart (52), Executive Board Member for Human Resources and Sustainability and Labor Director, by another three years until September 2025. The term was originally set to expire in September 2022. This duration aligns with Reinhart's personal life plans. Reinhart holds a doctorate in law and was appointed to the Executive Board of Continental in October 2014. Prior to that, she held various positions within the Volkswagen Group.
