Wagner, the fire protection specialists, reported significant company growth of twelve percent to €138 million in revenue for 2023/2024. The division specializing in fire alarm systems, extinguishing systems, and water mist systems for rail transport, in particular, performed exceptionally well.

With its consolidated total output, the Wagner Group, headquartered in Hanover, increased its revenue by €14.8 million in the 2023/24 financial year compared to the previous year. This enabled the company to successfully overcome current market challenges – high inflation, rising energy costs, and continuing market uncertainties – by adapting to the changing conditions, thus maintaining and further expanding its market position.

The family-owned company has been growing steadily for years and currently employs around 800 people worldwide, 120 of whom work outside Germany. Internationalization is a key driver of this positive development. According to the company, the current export ratio is around 50% – and rising.

Wagner currently lists the United Kingdom, Austria, the USA, and India as its most important export markets. As previously reported, two new subsidiaries, Fire Safety India and Wagner Fire Safety DMCC in Dubai, were established in 2023/24, offering comprehensive fire protection solutions for their respective local markets. Initial market successes have already been achieved in India.

Within the targeted market segments, the area of fire protection for rail transport has developed particularly well. Systems have been implemented for the Munich subway, the Eurostar, the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), the Austrian Railjet, and the Thameslink in London.

With a systematic and process-oriented management system for its own information security, Wagner also ensures cybersecurity – and was recently certified according to ISO 27001. Company founder and CEO Werner Wagner: "We are also delighted that we were able to celebrate the 15th and 10th anniversaries of our subsidiaries in Poland and the USA, respectively."
