In a prominent location – the faculty foyer of ETH Zurich – the annual Zurich Logistics Colloquium, the 41st of its kind, will take place on Thursday, May 21st, featuring inspiring presentations of a special caliber. Successful leaders will offer insights into creative strategies and innovative logistics approaches.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., René Schmidt (Roth Gerüste AG) will provide insights from the Swiss construction industry regarding scaffolding and the logistics often associated with construction projects; followed by Silvan Eberhard, head of the eponymous construction company from Kloten and active local politician.

Guests and participants can also look forward to the presentation by Philipp Blumer, who will be speaking about the Swiss military exercise "Trias 25" . Around 1000 members of the armed forces, primarily from Mechanized Brigade 11, participated in a four-week training exercise in Allentsteig, Austria, in April 2025 – and gained valuable experience there.
Alpine countries prepared
From Leopard tanks and radios to mobile field kitchens, a wide range of equipment had to be transported between the neighboring Alpine countries. The logistics team was challenged from start to finish. Blumer's motto: "Nothing works without operational logistics!"
