The requirements for CO₂ transparency, reporting, and documentation are increasing – both due to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and international supply chain standards. The Basel Chamber of Commerce (HKBB) offers support through seminars and practical workshops.
Daniel E. Bubendorf
On Tuesday, April 28th, at St. Jakobs-Strasse 25, the logistics cluster of the region will host an introduction to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rules, the so-called Scope 1 to 3 criteria, advantages for tours, energy, employees & customers, economic opportunities and regional best practices between 1:30 pm and 5 pm.
New opportunities
Expert speakers include supply chain specialist Daniel E. Bubendorf and Christian Hochstrasser (Lenz Caemmerer Basel). The target audience is logistics providers (SMEs), transport companies, and warehouse operators. According to the HKBB, this opens up new funding opportunities for companies that want to make their logistics more sustainable.

The Chamber of Commerce aims to support companies in the transport, warehousing, logistics and shipping industries in implementing sustainability in a practical and effective way – including with a guide to sustainable logistics, an ESG self-check and – new – in the form of practice circles.
On June 24th, another practical session on "CO₂ accounting, reporting obligations & funding" is on the agenda.
