MSF evacuates injured
Doctors Without Borders has equipped a train with medical supplies and personnel to evacuate war-wounded people from Ukraine. On the first journey, 26 patients from Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro were transported to hospitals in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. Most required post-operative treatment.
The first train ran in 1879
The first railway in Lemvig, Denmark, ran in 1879. In 2008, the Midtjyske Jernbaner was formed from the merger of the Odderbanen and Lemvigbanen lines. The rolling stock was no longer state-of-the-art, and this is now being rectified with hybrid trains that will soon replace diesel trains throughout the country.
DB pilot project in Toronto
A multi-billion dollar contract from Canada: State-of-the-art technology for digitalization and automation will be used in the expansion of local rail transport around Canada's capital. The 450 km of lines will be completely modernized, and the experience gained will subsequently be applied in Germany as well.
Everything is different on the siding

From January 10th until mid-2024, SBB will be expanding the southern train depots in Basel. This expansion aims to create the necessary storage capacity for additional regional and longer long-distance trains. The project is one of the prerequisites for the introduction of the Basel–Liestal regional 15-minute service starting at the end of 2025.
