Logistics provider Movianto is paving the way for the US company Indivior to store and distribute medications for the treatment of addiction, which are subject to cold chain requirements and must be stored and shipped at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. Strict handling is included .
Movianto reports on the development of a customized logistics solution, which is now being implemented at its site in Neunkirchen, Saarland. At the same time, the logistics service provider handles complete fulfillment with its "Order to Cash " service. "On behalf of Indivior, our customer service team receives orders from wholesalers or pharmacies, arranges picking and shipping, creates invoices, and monitors incoming payments " says Dennis Spamer, Managing Director of Movianto Germany. "Instead of setting up all the value-added stages ourselves, outsourcing these services can significantly shorten product launch times, especially for foreign companies. "
Movianto has been working for Indivior for over ten years, operating in Germany, Denmark, and Spain. However, until now, it has only handled the logistics of items that require storage at room temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. "The new products are subject to cold chain requirements. Furthermore, like other Indivior products, they fall into the category of narcotics, which are subject to particularly high security and documentation standards," explains Spamer. "That's why we have created new storage facilities in our narcotics warehouse in Neunkirchen using special refrigerators.»

Movianto employees are specially trained in handling all items stored in the validated refrigerators. "Every opening of a refrigerator, every filling, and every removal must be documented." The entire Movianto warehouse in Neunkirchen is under video surveillance. The drug area is additionally secured. Only designated employees have access. Like a giant safe, the entrances are secured with massive steel doors. The walls, up to half a meter thick, are equipped with vibration sensors that immediately transmit attempted break-ins to the police as a silent alarm.
Indivior's vision is that all patients worldwide should have access to evidence-based treatment for chronic diseases and comorbidities associated with substance use disorders.
