Swiss Post Christmas

After two years of declining parcel volumes, Swiss Post sorted 22.3 million parcels in December – that is between two and three shipments per capita of its 8.85 million inhabitants, which, according to the company, is 3.5 percent more than in the previous year, with some routes handling up to 1 million parcels per day.

The employees in the branches, logistics centers, and offices also demonstrated great commitment to their customers. Roberto Cirillo, CEO of Swiss Post, said: "I am impressed and proud of all the employees who, with tireless dedication, managed this enormous volume of shipments to ensure they arrived under the Christmas trees on time. A big thank you to everyone for that!"

The peak day was December 3, 2024. On that day, almost 1.3 million parcels were processed, more than ever before in a single day.
