Wide bow wave in Stuttgart
January 14, 2025

"Against the backdrop of global upheavals and the current profound transformation in industry and commerce, LogiMAT plays a special role this year," says trade fair director Michael Ruchty. From March 11 to 13, the mood in Stuttgart could be more one of optimism than doom.
LogiMAT will once again occupy all ten halls of the Stuttgart Exhibition Center. Over seven percent of the approximately 1,500 exhibitors are participating for the first time. Euroexpo, the trade fair organizer, has adopted the motto "Passion for Solutions." The intralogistics world from more than 80 nations will once again meet at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center on over 120,000 square meters of exhibition space. Ruchty: "Above all, the key topics of artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability, and the shortage of labor and skilled workers characterize diverse challenges as overarching megatrends and drivers."

In Hall 1, including the gallery, as well as in Halls 3, 5, and 7, rack and machine manufacturers, system integrators, and conveyor technology providers will present new compact storage systems for pallet and container storage, new pocket sorters, and system shuttles with new features. In addition to AI-supported automation and digitalization, this traditionally strongest exhibitor group will link system performance with the topic of sustainability.
Industrial robots are considered a key factor in the intralogistics industry for optimizing processes and helping to combat labor shortages. The latest developments in the field of picking robots can be viewed, among other places, in the gallery. In addition to shuttles for rack-based storage systems, several machine and plant manufacturers are also presenting new and advanced service robots for barrier-free internal transport.

At LogiMAT 2025, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and carrybots will be largely concentrated in Hall 8. There, specialized manufacturers will present, in particular, new developments in transport robots and order-picking robots designed to alleviate labor shortages. Furthermore, the Mobile Robotics User Forum will also be held in 2025 on the gallery in Hall 6, offering expert advice from members of the AGV Forum to AGV users and potential mobile robotics enthusiasts.
The continued development of AGVs, conventional industrial trucks (FFZ), and assistance systems will also determine the presentations of forklift manufacturers in Hall 9 and Hall 10, located opposite in the south wing of the exhibition grounds. At LogiMAT 2025, all major international industry players will once again be represented with their latest product ranges.

Manufacturers have already announced, among other things, the presentation of new 3- and 4-wheel forklifts, new counterbalanced forklifts for the up to two-ton segment, a new series of electric sideloaders, and the market debut of the world's first automated cobot for pallet transport. In addition, exhibitors plan to launch innovations in the field of alternative drive systems and provide insights into the near and distant future of intralogistics through robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles. In Halls 9 and 7, trade visitors will also find the latest developments from suppliers of cranes, gates, and loading technology, as well as innovative devices and solutions for fire protection.
Directly adjacent to Hall 8, exhibitors of packaging technology and suppliers of container and storage solutions will present their current product ranges in Hall 6. In light of the new EU Packaging Regulation, sustainability is particularly important in these product segments. This is reflected, among other things, in offerings for right-sized packaging, strapping machines with paper straps, intelligent reusable packaging, and reusable labels.

Furthermore, new high-performance packaging lines, advanced mobile transport systems, innovative scanner hardware, RTLS and RFID solutions, e-paper and radio-controlled digital labels, and sensor-assisted high-speed doors will support process efficiency in the warehouse.
In addition to AutoID technologies for coding and capture, an intelligent IT infrastructure forms the basis for networked information exchange in intralogistics and the supply chain. The software companies will present the latest IT solutions for future-proof warehouse, transport, and supply chain management with end-to-end networked data exchange in Hall 4.

In Hall 2, trade visitors can experience the live event Tracking & Tracing Theatre (T&TT) from AIM-D as well as the latest applicators and semi- and fully-automatic labeling and label printing systems for marking directly in the material flow. In the area of data capture systems, trade visitors can expect to see, among other things, the latest handheld scanners and scan gates, measuring and weighing systems, as well as near-field and RTLS solutions.
"Right at the start of the year, LogiMAT provides an information advantage on current developments and greater planning security for new projects," summarizes trade fair director Ruchty. "We're looking forward to three exciting days at the trade fair in Stuttgart."
